GeoData Manager 4.13.6.13 23 MB. This is the latest version of GeoData Manager, version 4.13.6.13, database version 36, released on 13 June 2018. This version includes:

  • a redesigned and much improved menu structure
  • dock and undock ability for the tab sheets on the main screen
  • revised filter options
  • more company settings options
  • permission levels for Access databases
  • two new datasets, Surface Geology and Surface Heat Flow.
  •

    Installing GeoData Manager for the first time, for evaluation

    See the online help for installing GeoData Manager. You will download and run the three files above in this order:

    • First the GSDS Runtimes exe file.
    • Then the Python msi file.
    • Finally the gsds gdman msi file.

    Note

    • You only need to install the GSDS Runtimes file and the Python msi file once. And you must install them before you install the gsds gdman file.
    • If you use Firefox to download GeoData Manager, it may tag the downloaded .msi file with .doc. Remove the .doc by changing the file name in Windows Explorer.
    • You can use this fully-featured program for free for 30 days. After this, contact GSDS to buy or lease GeoData Manager.

     

    Buying or leasing GeoData Manager and setting it up for regular use

    After you have used GeoData Manager free for 30 days, you must buy or lease a licence to keep using it. You should then set it up for regular use. See the online help to set it up for regular use.

    You may require a dongle, which will be sent to you by GSDS. To use the dongle, you must download and use these dongle files, as described in the online help:

    Note that the two network dongle files are for GeoData Manager, and will not work with other GSDS software.

     

    Upgrading GeoData Manager to a later version

    See the online help for upgrading to a newer version. You will download and install the latest version of GeoData Manager, above.

    Note

    • See what’s new in recent versions of GeoData Manager
    • When you upgrade, your existing databases and settings are preserved and you usually do not need to uninstall your existing version of GeoData Manager. However, if you are upgrading from version 4.8.10.5 or before: Before you install the new version of Geodata Manager, use the Windows control panel to uninstall your current version of GeoData Manager. This will not affect your existing databases and settings. You only need to do this once, and not for subsequent upgrades.
