Installing WellSim for evaluation

This describes how to install WellSim on a PC so you can evaluate how the program fits your needs. WellSim will run with full functionality on one PC for free for 30 days, without requiring any registration or dongle. If you require additional time for evaluation, contact GSDS.

Installing WellSim for evaluation

1. Install the runtime library: Download the runtime library then run it. You only have to do this once ever for each computer, and you must do it before you install WellSim.

2. Install the latest version of WellSim: Go to the Download page, download the latest version of WellSim, GSDS_wellsim_n_n_n_n.msi. Then run it.

3. Start WellSim. It displays the Database Manager window, with the default sample database:

   

4. Open the sample database: double-click sample database or click sample database and click Select DB.

5. WellSim opens. To find how to use WellSim, go to the first tutorial.

Uninstalling WellSim

This uninstalls WellSim permanently. Note that if you are upgrading to a new version of WellSim, you do not need to uninstall anything first.

1. If you want to keep your databases, backup your databases.

   Otherwise delete each database in turn.

2. Open the Windows Control Panel, select Add or Remove Programs.

3. Select WellSim and click Remove.
