Tutorial: Well deviation (for a deviated well)

The well deviation is a list of the measured well angles down the well.

This tutorial shows you how to enter a well deviation for a well:

You only need to enter a well deviation for a well if the well is not vertical throughout.
The well deviation is used to create the geometry configuration for a deviated well.
If you are not sure what to do here, review the tutorial to enter a geometry configuration.

Creating a new, deviated well

Click (top left).
Create a new well called MY DEVIATED WELL read how. Make up values for Elevation and RKB height.

Entering a well deviation for MY DEVIATED WELL

In the sample database, click Well deviation under .
Right-click in the empty row under Description to pop up a menu; click New.
Enter this data:
- Measure all depths relative to the same point at the wellhead read more.
- For each depth, enter a measured or vertical depth, plus the angle of the well to vertical at that depth.
Click to check, apply and save the data, then exit.
